An Open Letter to the Closed Elites

If you’re not Rich and Powerful please turn your screen so you are looking at the edge.

I’m doing one of these. This article may be pissing in the wind. A potential eugenic windfall, as I’ve been informed this is a revolutionary source of stem cells.

The intended audience for this letter is difficult to define, but they’re most frequently identified as The Elites. Maybe your vizier forwarded this to you at the protest of your eunuchs. Your cohort can include dynastic business families, billionaire tycoons, celebrities, cryptocurrency freaks; denominating all of them is the ability to move the political needle through the deployment of capital or the manipulation of a network. I am sure you politely deny this status when you are accused of it, but deep down you know the jig is up.

Let’s get acute: I am addressing this to the wealthy and influential who are friendly to Right Wing ideas, which is slightly easier to define because association with such concepts used to be a direct threat to your good standing. Left Wing ideas may have made you frustrated, but Right Wing ideas made you nervous. Greatness knows itself, as does subjugation.

I want to help you make sense of what is happening in Canadian politics. Not just Canada: the United States, Britain as well, even Drunker Canada (Australia) has been undergoing seismic shifts to the status quo. People speak of a vibe shift, of the Overton Window dragged, there’s a lot of different ways to gesture to the mainstream looking radically different from how it looked 10 years ago. Radical politics across the board, once restricted to the margins, presently occupies center stage. Antizionism has been mainstreamed across the Western world, Remigration is a movement gathering popular support, #MeToo is treated as a hazy inebriated memory, Woke is Over; I am sure you’ve noted such refrains echoing throughout our culture. To be clear, you had no substantial involvement in any of this.

I am not here to claim marginalization as many of my contemporaries might. They are nervous about being perceived as adjacent to power, finding safety in the peasantry of the fringe. Some of them approximate their effectiveness by how censored they are, proclaiming that if you are censored that means you are “over the target.” Pedophiles who wear animal costumes are also censored, as well as people I know who thought it sensible to slide into the DMs of lady politicians and threaten to beat them up, so I am not sure it’s a good heuristic. I have witnessed Far Right Fans of Musclemen mourn how we as a society have imprisoned our most daring, our most cunning, our most creative minds just because they do not adhere to a corrupted morality. Of course, we also imprison illiterate rapists and people who want to shoot up schools. I’d hazard a guess that this constitutes most of who is in prison. Suffice it to say I do not, as a first principle, measure our success by how oppressed we are.

As it so happens, we are more popular. We are normalizing. We are scrambling across trenches towards victory.

But what are you expected to do with this information?

I have some experience dealing with this ascendant madness. I have worked with over a dozen organizations in these overlapping oppositional sectors known as the Dissident Right – events, conferences, political orgs, consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, and start-ups just to name a few – and I have worked in regular people marketing for nearly two decades. In that time, I operated within the venture capital space, including individuals adjacent to these formerly radioactive sectors. You don’t need my CV for this, I am merely establishing that I have suffered for a modicum of credibility.

Pop quiz, Einstein: here’s my résumé.

We often complain that the Left has no shortage of patronage, seemingly receiving limitless funding for whatever cockamamie media scheme or money sink they can imagine. We have our own multimedia corpse pits of course, but it simply appears that they have more credit pouring from more spigots. I am told Right Wing Money exists, but it has a different expectation for return on investment (ROI). Our billionaires don’t just hurl money haphazardly; they demand projects that will succeed in the marketplace and make money. They won’t do it for the love of the game like those silly Democratic Socialists.

If I may steelman a counterargument: the projects emerging from this space thus far have not inspired confidence. Investors aren’t excited by a man with an idea; they are excited by a team who can struggle as a unit and pivot. We have no shortage of petty iconoclasts and Temporarily Embarrassed Revolutionaries, but where are the teams? This is a valid question. The best of them, however, you likely haven’t heard about. I have worked with a few such teams – highly effective groups that have received substantial funding – albeit infrequently from donors who overlap politically. Still there persists the understanding that it is germane to operate with a guerilla mindset. We are the ones expected to sideline our beliefs.

Furthermore, on my show Blood $atellite we probed into the international network of Antifa finance and found a plethora of businesses such as bookstores, food banks, and charities. Our people do not want to give money to the homeless, our people do not want to run a bike repair shop. It’s politically expedient to gather a presence at municipal town halls, but nobody wants to do it. In fact there’s a limitless fount of clout to be generated by criticizing anybody doing anything in the real world. The entrepreneur is not lionized in this milieu; they are tolerated. As such, your capital does not have an obvious landing place that would make a real impact.

The last thing anyone needs is more content.

The purpose of this letter is not to tell you things you already know, it’s to communicate that I have an idea of what you are feeling right now. You may not even feel beholden to any political party, but in all likelihood you thought everything was going one direction and it veered into another. I bet you thought the youth was becoming more queer-friendly, you might have thought #Woke would achieve dominance, but then something else happened. The opposite happened. It’s exhausting to assess the when or the why, but it doesn’t really matter. What matters is you are surveying your environment and recalibrating your assumptions.

Your previous strategy for cultural survival was to assume a confident prey position, and now you must figure out what posture to assume so you are not left in the cold with the other losers. You want to win, don’t you?

The truth is you were not more attuned to ROI than anyone else, you were just cowardly. Everyone with any sense assumed a prey position, leaving only the weirdos to slam their livelihoods on the line to conquer rhetorical territory inch by inch. I am not saying you are particularly to blame, but your wealth and influence did not exempt you from the same forces haranguing us schizo chuds. We were stressed to embrace anonymity as a first principle. Some of the greatest minds I have ever known stand behind paranoid masks both digital and corporeal. The same people who castigate us for blurring our faces in photos or adopting online identities are the ones who would enthusiastically bring the hammer of a corrupt state down upon us and our families.

I get it.

More people are coming around to ideas we’ve been pushing for decades, and they have successfully “broken the conditioning,” as some say. You were subject to the same social pressures as the rest of us, beholden to the same laws and regulations. I know where HR sits on the org chart and how stakeholders are forced to adopt a lateral relationship with them. Further, you received the same propaganda as everyone else. I use the word “propaganda” very thoughtfully here. Many extrapolations of that word exist, but in my view Jacques Ellul explained it best: to paraphrase, it’s a cluster of programming that is installed through focused media bombardment, running outside of your logic center, somewhere behind of your beliefs and principles, lurking amid your subconscious. It has nothing to do with your intelligence, in fact a higher IQ makes it easier to justify any position whatsoever. The effect of propaganda is you have an emotional reaction to certain things; you don’t even unpack why you feel this reaction, you have simply been conditioned to respond negatively to a particular concept. You want to get away from it.

It is best represented by the phrase “you’re not supposed to talk about that.”

You followed trends and felt compelled to adhere to new rules issued by the zeitgeist otherwise you would suffer damage to your reputation. You were wrong about where you predicted things would go, and I know this because I was watching you the entire time, witnessing where your money flowed. Over here, we talk about you as if you have been insufficiently courted; the spirit is willing, but we’ve all just done a poor job of enticing you to support our movements, our principles, our beliefs. We blame ourselves, frequently denigrating our brightest minds for not being attractive enough to court. But we both know that you’re not that passive. You could move if you wanted to move, you could jumpstart anything you chose if you deigned to find partners for your vision. And these partners would come cheap.

You were just scared of these ideas before, but now those ideas have momentum and they seem less scary, don’t they? They might even seem inevitable.

You have been wrong about much in the past decade, and I know because there were opportunities for leadership that you did not grasp. There was contested territory to conquer, and you had nothing to say. We warned you about the evil lurking in the transgender community – pushing awareness of autogynephilia – and you remained silent, granting them authority and relevance, tapping the brakes only when they started shooting our children. It was only us who pushed thoughtful narratives on the true nature of Israel, and it was only when the horrors of their ongoing campaign in Gaza were screaming in your face were you forced to admit my colleagues weren’t just making things up. I bet you retroactively revised how you thought, how you behaved during the Covid-19 years, didn’t you? I hazard to guess you believed you weren’t permitted to comment on Infinity Indians entering Canada as fraudulent kindling for the furnace of GDP, not permitted until everyone else started speaking up. Do you, like Doug Saunders, believe Canada needs to achieve a population of 100 million by the turn of the century, achieved primarily through mass migration? The ongoing clashes concerning this mission are grounded in veiled debates concerning economic serfdoms, taxbase castes, and a polyglot hoard of consumers; is that really how you imagine sovereignty looking?

You envision Canada as a more dynamic economic zone and assume this is how we can achieve some form of global sovereignty; this is not the missive through which to debate that. What I am telling you is that this economic zone will fail because you have been incognizant of the human capital you have allowed to flood in, blinded as you were by ideological capture.

Groups hostile to our history, our identity, our very existence tore down statues of Sir John A. Macdonald and you said nothing. You did nothing.

We were here the entire time, banned and silenced, imprisoned and debanked, but behold: now Far Right movements across the globe are pushing the issue to unprecedented distances. It is happening without you. Are you going to try and catch up? Do you want to be correct for a change?

Do you want to win?

I am writing to you now because I am stupid and I am insane. I am choosing to talk to you while others speak about you, either anthropoloigizing your class or condemning you as pedophile cannibals in league with extradimensional malevolence. They are, of course, both correct in their own ways. Yet here I stand, attempting to deliver the gut punch you need to get your head in the game. You intuit things are changing, but you remain too timid to act, perhaps muttering the falsehood that this thing has not earned your participation yet. Social norms pivot around you daily as former oppressors gasp angrily for life, but still you remain stingy on investing where the action is.

I don’t believe in the phrase “we are winning.” I believe it handicaps momentum and anesthetizes recipients. I do not advocate for the emotion evoked by perceived success in motion. I believe in victory and I believe in the fight for victory. If you are reading this, it’s time to fight like your survival depends on it because it does.

IVORY TOWERS BURN JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER FUCKING THING.
